Planning for my magazine

    My partner and I had several ideas to execute for our magazine. We thought of a food magazine and a children's magazine. We began to list the pros and cons of each type of magazines. The food magazine, although it is a very intriguing topic, it was going to be hard to develop a main idea, to cook the foods and make the food look presentable, since we are not chefs. Also, we couldn't think of an interesting topic to make a two page spread sheet of a children's magazine. We had thought of a plot twist and make a magazine that would entertain children rather than adults, but it was a bigger challenge to create two different issues and two different topics that would make the magazines unique.

    Then, we had also thought about a fashion magazine. We find that there are more options in order to create two ideas for the two page spread sheet based on the theme on fashion. We began to think in what type of fashion we can focus on in each issue. We thought of a vintage theme for one of the issues because vintage clothing in the United States has become very popular for the young age groups. Since it is a current fashion style that is very popular we understand that this type of magazine can attract to the younger audience. The other topic for the second issue would be on summer clothing and how to create a summer look. We want to keep the same basic idea that a lot of fashion magazines have which is giving the consumers inspiration for a certain fashion look, but we want the final product to be outstanding rather than a very bland and basic outcome.
